Tax Free Charitable Giving from IRA Assets
Individuals over age 73 are required to withdraw funds from their IRA account. These distributions are taxable and must be reported as income. Instead of simply withdrawing the funds, a qualified charitable distribution can be sent directly to a charity without paying an income tax. The amount is limited to $108,000 per year and also extends to individuals over the age of 70 ½ . During this upcoming holiday season if you need to withdraw money from your IRA by year end, please recognize St. Peter's Church as a chosen charity for tax-free distribution. Any amount will go to support the ministry at St. Peter's. Consult you tax advisor for this charitable transaction.

Archdiocese of Chicago Capital Campaign ~Generation to Generation
St. Peter’s has been scheduled to participate in the Archdiocese Capital Campaign in 2026. A portion of all contributions to St. Peter’s will also benefit the Archdiocese of Chicago. As a service church, and your personal spiritual oasis in the heart of downtown Chicago, we understand that many who visit St. Peter’s for daily Mass, on holy days, to receive the rite of reconciliation and for spiritual counseling, are parishioners at another Archdiocesan parish. If you are making a gift to the Archdiocesan Campaign, please consider designating a portion of your gift to benefit St. Peter’s Church in the Loop.

Please support the Diocese of Tombura-Yambio in South Sudan. Fr. John Ngbapia of the Diocese was unable to make the trip to St. Peter's the weekend of Aug. 9-10. The scheduled visit of Fr.
