The STRESS of the “MESS”:
Problem, Challenge, or Opportunity?
part 3

September 1, 2010 Make Your Weirdness Work For You - Stop feeling ashamed of what is unique about you! Capitalize on some of your uniqueness.

September 8, 2010 Why Do We Call Encounters With God “Weird”? Why do we hesitate to admit how God acts in our lives? How has God used you to “repair” his world?

September 15, 2010 Coping With Rejection: Stop making rejection worse; stop ruminating. Depression doesn’t help.

September 22, 2010 Moving On After Rejection(s): What use will you make of a rejection so you can move forward?

Constant changes, daily hassles and uncertainty—a “mess”—stress us! Francis of Assisi believed that God became one of us—in our “MESS” – in intimacy, relationships, religion, work, family, friends, and ourselves. Easter and Spring bring signs of the divine within/among us; wouldn’t it be great if we could partner with our God and work out the “stress of the mess”?

Scripture Study
with Fr. Lawrence Jagdfeld O.F.M.
Fridays, 12:10 – 12:50 pm

Fr. Lawrence shares a greater understanding of the upcoming Sunday’s Gospel reading.

St. Peter Young Adult Group

The group meets the first and third Monday of the month from 5:30 to 6:30 pm in St Clare Auditorium (room C).

Believing in God is different than believing God. We are a group of young adults who strive to do both and live our lives as a response to God. Sacred Scripture is a privileged place to discover God speaking to us. The Catholic Church selects particular passages for each season and week of the year for our reflection. The young adults meet on Monday night to reflect together on the Sunday gospel so that we can hear what God is saying to each of us and how we are called to authentically respond to God in our unique life situation. You are always welcome to join us!
